Biography
Jack started XC racing in Canmore with his parents, where he grew up, and which has also been home to UCI World Cup XC races back in the 1990's. He soon found Enduro racing and was doing local Canadian events in the under 15 category and scored podiums. He moved to the international circuit in 2019 and already scored a victory by winning the Under 21 category in Whistler. This was followed by two more podiums in 2021 before moving to the Elite Category in 2022, where he scored two Top 10 placings. Jack signed with Polygon Factory Racing for the 2023 season.

Why do you ride:Because it feeds my love for competition. The bonus of racing around the world and pushing my limits is something that gives me a feeling like nothing else.
What/who started you racing: My parents started me racing XC to keep me busy and out of the house.
Weakness:overthinking bad results and letting it get stuck in my head.
Most important people in your life and career:My family and friends, my coach, everyone that has taken a chance on me.
Racing since: Enduro World Series, since 2019
Best part of racing: the feeling on track when you are in a “flow state” and feeling like nothing can go wrong.
Hardest part: Getting hurt
Worst moment in career:2021 was a tough year for me with back to back injuries.
Best moment in career: Probably my U21 EWS win in Whistler and my first top 10 in elite in Whistler.
Favorite food: A burger and fries is hard to beat in my books but I eat almost anything.
Favorite reading: The Champion’s Mind by Jim Afremow
Favorite music: Old rap but I listen to anything.
Best idea of having good time: shuttle laps with the crew!
Favorite place to travel to:Queenstown, New Zealand.
Most respected mountain bike riders:Sam Hill, Kasper Woolley, Nino Schurter
Other most respected athletes: My little brother Dane Menzies, Cooper Webb, my friends in XC skiing because the sport is brutal.
Favorite riding spots and courses:Squamish/Whistler are my favorite!
Advice to beginners:Just get out there and ride and have fun with it.

General career goals: Enduro World Cup Overall win, and able to inspire youth, make a name for myself in the sport.
If I was not a professional mountain biker….. I would be a winter sports athlete.
