Biography
Starting on 2 wheels at just 2 years of age, Ažbe has grown into an athlete passionate about anything on two wheels, with or a without a motor. Racing BMX for 6 years, his move to Downhill racing only happened in 2021, and now he is already the European Champion for Under 17, winning that title this year on the revered Champery track in Switzerland. With his eyes clearly set on World Cup racing from 2025 onwards, the future is bright for this young Slovenian.

Why do you ride: I love anything on 2 wheels, with or without a motor.
What/who started you racing: My father put me on a bike at the age of 2. I won the first BMX race at the age of 6.
Weakness: Physically my upper body.
Most important people in your life and career: My family and Jan Cimperman
Racing since: BMX since 2014, Enduro & Pump Track since 2020, and Downhill since 2021.
Best part of racing: When you feel the track and everything is going as it should in the race
Hardest part: When you know you could win but something goes wrong in the race.
Worst moment in career: 2023 IXS European Downhill Cup in Lošinj (CRO), the first race of the year, first practice run and I got injured and couldn't race.
Best moment in career: The whole 2024 season.
General career goals: Progress towards the top at World Cup level every year.
